Who am I?

Multi-award winning creative who has lead and collaborated
with strong strategic and creative teams, in generating creative thinking that works for clients
in building brand awareness
and sales.
I believe that a strong core idea needs to be at the heart of any communication and should have the capability to work across
any platform.

I’ve worked across numerous sectors including Automotive, Financial, Retail and FMCG.

My experience

I’ve worked in the advertising, design and marketing business since starting my career.

I love the constant challenge that working on great creative briefs brings - and have worked on everything from a product flash through to radio, TV, OOH and social. From FMCG through
to automotive and the banking sector. Every brief is different, and that’s what makes this business
so vibrant and stimulating.

The fundamental for me is that each piece of work has to be based on an insight that helps produce
a strong piece of creative with
cut-through to its respective audience.

The best perspectives come from looking at a brand, product or service very much from that of
both the end audience and
client perspectives.

Bottom-line is - the creative idea has to help sell stuff.

Cairn Homes

The idea for Elsmore, a Cairn homes development, takes its inspiration from the famous sphere sculpture located in Naas. We built on the sense of imagination, exploration and discovery of something new with the Elsmore development comms.

Guinness Hurling Championship sponsorship

Guinness became the title sponsor for the Hurling Championship back
in 1998. As part of this, we developed a TV and OOH campaign to align
the power of both brands in a dramatic, visceral way.

The creative idea was to show the hurler facing up to his own inner fears on the playing field and conquering them on the big occasion.

Johnston Mooney
& O’Brien

I created this TV spot for Johnston Mooney and O’Brien
to bring back a lighter and more fun tone to a brand that hadn’t been on TV for many years.
The claymation was created in a basement on Mount Street with painstaking attention to detail.

permanent tsb

I created a category-breaking campaign in the very conservatively-minded banking sector for permanent tsb. The bank was forthright in their bid to increase their market share amongst both current account holders and FTB audiences.

The campaign, titled ‘Persuader’ featured the actor, Frank Vincent, best known for his roles in Goodfellas, Casino and The Sopranos, as the instigator of changing one’s view on banking. We created spots for mortgages, current accounts and savings. The campaign ran across
TV, print and OOH.

Avantcard

I developed the brand styling and tone of voice for Avantcard across their Loans and Credit card products. The first job we did for Avantcard was a promotional flyer and eventually the work evolved into brand product comms for loans and credit cards across OOH, TV, radio and social.

This is a Lisney valuation campaign that ran primarily in national press and business magazines. Building on a look and feel that was a little more dynamic, sophisticated and aspirational in tone.
The campaign was directed at savvy decision makers
within the property portfolio arena.

Lisney

Arnotts

Some fun stuff I did a few years ago with Arnotts for their Mega Event and the launch of the Technology & Home Appliances Department.

Meadows & Byrne

Meadows & Byrne are a supplier of premium homewares, clothing and home décor to the Irish market.
We wanted to create some in-store POS and a radio spot that captured this sense of Summer and luxury. The 30 second radio commercial went on to win awards and the style and format continues to be used as it evokes the seasons and their trends.

GPO Witness History

This campaign for GPO Witness History played on
the sense of ‘being there’ that evoked a more ‘real’ experience of the exhibition and the drama that
unfolded during the 1916 Easter Rising.

Irish Hereford Prime

It’s refreshing to work on a brand that promotes a quality
Irish product with a great team behind it. The creative focusses both on the strength of the Irish Hereford Prime producers and promoting this exceptional product with high food values as reflected in both photography and copywriting styles.

I created a campaign for BOI Corporate was to highlight their Brand Ambassadors with theirSupportingIrelandsBest campaign, two of whom,
Shane Lowry and Katie Taylor were utilised across print, OOH and social media to show BOI’s support for the Irish Rugby Team who were taking part in the forthcoming RWC. We also created content with a direct focus on Katie Taylor who was competing in the Olympics at the time.

Bank of Ireland

Avoca Clinic

I created this social campaign for Avoca Clinic, a leading plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures clinic based in Ireland. The overall focus was on the end user and the benefits of selfcare and personal wellbeing and feeling good in your own skin.

Bank of Ireland

For BOI Retail
I developed this simple ‘20% off’ concept to help sign up university students for a Visa Debit card which offered significant discount across a range of consumer brands. The campaign ran across OOH, print, social and radio.

This campaign for
BOI Corporate was devised to promote Bank of Ireland as the foremost FDI partner for chinese companies for investment into Ireland. The creative ran
across chinese print publications
and online.

Dublin Pubs

I created a spec campaign for Dublin Pubs that focussed on the sense of community, meeting up and enjoying a pint in your local where you can enjoy a truly ‘offline’ conversation.

Avant Money

I created a number of campaigns for Avant Money across their Loans, Mortgages and Credit card products with a strong focus on tone-of-voice, simplicity of messaging and brand consistency across all comms platforms.
